Simple answer, Usability. Contagion has the ability to +400% dmg after 30m. Attack Speed increases Projectile Flight Speed (unsure of direct linear correlation), but your projectiles fly faster and do not succumb to the puny force of gravity. Hence, no need to overcompensate for the arc.
